Instant gratification also brings with it instant feedback. It doesn't take any time at all to learn what effects a certain angle, distance, or lighting will have. Yet there's still room for the pleasant surprise caused by a sudden movement in the frame during a longer exposure or some such. I'm using a Polaroid Spectra SE, a model that has been discontinued and replaced by the Polaroid Spectra Pro, which I recently acquired also. The Spectra series Polaroid cameras are collapsable consumer cameras that use the larger Polaroid Spectra film. They both feature auto-focus and added controls for disabling the flash. The Pro model can also do up to 5 exposures on a single photograph and allows for longtime exposures of up to 2 minutes. |
